EVA Air ranks in’s top-20 World’s Safest Airlines for 2019. This marks the airline’s sixth year in a row to earn a place among the rating website’s “best of the best” for safety. The safety rating criteria is based on analyses of data from aviation governing body, aviation associations, governmental authorities and crash data, using a seven-star rating system. EVA consistently earns high rankings from AirlineRatings for making quality service and safety its top priorities.

1. Completed an IATA (International Air Transport Association) Operational Safety Audit, ie, earned IOSA Certification.
2. Met the European Union’s high standards of aircraft maintenance and regulatory oversight and is not listed on the EU Blacklist.
3. Maintained a fatality-free record for the past 10 years.
4. Served the United States from a country that upholds Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) aircraft operations and maintenance requirements.
5. Originated in a country that fulfills all eight International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety parameters.
6. Never been grounded by any governing aviation safety authority.
7. Operates a fleet of Boeing, Airbus and McDonnell Douglas aircraft and does not use any Russian-built aircraft.
